Library

It has a collection of more than 7383 documents, which includes about 5373(Textbooks, General books, Reference books, Language books etc.), , 680 Dissertations, Guide  Maps, Atlases and some other non-book materials. It is subscribing Journals/Periodicals (Indian and foreign journals) and 11 daily newspapers every year.

Subjects Covered:
Food Production ,F & B Service, Housekeeping, Front office Education, Management Education, Value Education, Computer Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics and Zoology), Social Studies and Humanities (Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Commerce etc.), Agriculture, Library & Information Science, Books on different languages like, English, Hindi, And Oriya etc.

Membership:
All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are eligible for membership of the library. The registered members are issued Borrower Ticket corresponding to their entitlement in terms of the number of books that can be borrowed by them. The category of members is as follows:

Circulation Section:
The function of the circulation section centers round issue and return of the books. The lending period without fine is one week. The over due fine rupee fifty per day is charged on every book issued beyond the lending period.

   

Reference Section:
Reference books are not issued, but readers may consult it within the premises of the Library. The reference books are shelved in different stacks

 

Reprographic section:
The facility to Photostat is also available in the library against a nominal charge per document.

Periodical section:
Periodical Section is attached with reference section side of stack. In this section, journals which are subscribed to the library for the current year are displayed.

More than Six hundred Eighty title of thesis and Dissertation
Non book Material section
CD, DVD, Gramphone Record, Video Cassettes on Professional Trade
Technical Section
Technical Section undertakes two vital functions, viz., (a) Classification and (b) Cataloguing
(a) Classification --- Class numbers are given to the books according to the Dewey decimal classification Scheme (DDC).
(b) Cataloguing --- Books are catalogued according to Anglo American Cataloguing Rules -II (AACR-II) . For each book three entries are prepared.
